Online Applications are invited for direct recruitment of under mentioned categories of posts using the website of Deputy Commissioner Shimla i.e. http://hpshimla.nic.in The applications can be filled up online w.e.f. 10th November, 2021 upto 10th December, 2021 till 05-00 PM (including the applicants of tribal/hard areas) thereafter website link will be disabled. The candidates are strictly advised to apply online well in advance to avoid rush during closing dates of submission of Online Applications. No offline Application Forms will be accepted by this office. Detail of Posts:-  

  Name of Post : 01 (SC=01)  DRIVER (Class-III): 

(Post is on daily wages basis on daily of Rs. 361/- per day)


Age Limit:- 


     Between 18 years and 45 years. Clarification:- 

a. Age of a candidate shall be reckoned as on 01. 01. 2021. 



b. Five years relaxation in upper age limit is admissible only to the candidates belonging to SC, Pwd WFF.


c. The upper age relaxation is also available to EX-SM candidate as per provisions of relevant rules/ instructions of HP Govt


Qualifications:-

a) Essential Qualification(s):

Candidate should have passed Matriculation Examination or its equivalent from recognized Board of School Education/ Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. Provided that this condition shall not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.

Candidate must possess valid driving licence for plying of Heavy/ Light vehicles in hilly terrain. 

(b) Desirable Qualification(s): 

Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh and suitability for appointment in the peculiar conditions prevailing in Himachal Pradesh.

Selection of Post:-  

Objective type exam There will be written objective type examination (MCQ). Marks obtained in written objective type Examination (MCQ) shall be counted for deciding the merit of candidate. The selection of candidate in written objective test subject to passing of Driving skill test, which is qualifying in nature. Final selection of candidate will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the written objective type examination; passing the driving skill test and evaluation based on the parameters devised by the Department of Personnel vide its Notification No. Per (AP.B)B(15)- 5/2014 dated 17-04-2017 as detailed below:









*Evaluation of application of 15 marks will be as per parameters devised by DoP vide Notification No. Per (AP. B) B (15) - 5/ 2014 dated 17. 04. 2017.


 Candidates in the ratio of 20 times of total posts will be declared qualified in the written objective type Examination (MCQ) and will be called for driving skill test.

Syllabus:-


The syllabus for Written Examination (Objective Type) will be as under:

Objective type questions (MCQ) of syllabus related to post: 50 Marks 

Objective type questions of Hindi & English of 10th standard: 20 Marks 

Objective type questions related to HP GK & Current Affairs: 15 Marks 

Total = 85 Marks

Duration of Examination= 1 ½ hrs. (90 minutes) B. Driving skill test is of qualifying nature for those who qualify written objective type examination. Only the candidates who will qualify the driving skill test will be called for evaluation in pursuance to Notification No. Per (AP. B) B (15)- 5/ 2014 dated 17. 04. 2017 issued by the Department of Personnel, Govt. of H.P. The final merit will be based on marks obtained in the written exam. as per l(i) and marks obtained in evaluation as per 1 (iii). 3. The candidates are required to score at least 1/3rd marks of the total marks of written examination as shown above in Point 1 (i). 4. There will be no negative marking in written examination.
